My sculptural practice complicates consumer-based assumptions about the disposable nature of things through transformations and translations of contemporary objects into those of permanence. I’m deeply interested in the poetics discovered in-between the ephemeral and everlasting, made possible via the language of materials and the object's lineage throughout history. Industrial materials such as metals, glass, concrete, and gypsum are equally essential to my process because of their deep anthropological and historical roots.
